A Namibian volunteer put us in touch with Helena Primary School in the east of the country, near the Botswana border.
This school has no means of transporting a group of students or teachers, whether to the health center 60km away or to the larger town 160km away for shopping.
Only by renting expensive cattle trucks can groups of students go on excursions or meet other schools at cultural or sporting competitions.

Now the school has taken action itself, written down its situation, raised money itself and is now hoping that a German foundation will support its project for a used 30-seater.
The Namibia Support Association has now taken action and has completed and submitted the application forms to a German foundation.
The Office of the Premier of the Omaheke Region (Festus Uetele) also supports the project.
Unfortunately, the project has not yet been approved. The school and the Namibia Support Association are therefore still seeking funding for the important bus.
